New "Museum" Progress!
We're beginning to clean up the old Maintenance Hangar in preparation of turning it into our scaled-down "Museum." As you may have seen from previous posts, this is a stop-gap, small attraction while we work on our larger "Act III" over the next 3-5 years. It will not be much like the old Fantasy of Flight, but we wanted to do what we could to reconnect with the aircraft-loving public. There won't be a restaurant, restoration tours, or immersion environments. No aircraft-of-the-day. Just as many planes as we can comfortably put on display in the old maintenance hangar. We hope to be open the weekend after the Thanksgiving weekend (December 5th), and we'll keep you updated on our progress here!

Current plans are to be open Fridays - Sundays, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm beginning the weekend after Thanksgiving, at least through the winter months. We'll see what makes sense after that.
There will be an entrance and gift shop near what was our grass overflow parking. It definitely won't be the old Fantasy of Flight offering but hope it will hold some of you over while we sort out our bigger and better future offerings!

This is a view from an upper catwalk overlooking the B-24, which will for sure be on display, as its the only place we've really got room for it!

We're moving all the maintenance operations over to the south hangar in the main Fantasy of Flight building, which will not be open to the public. This will put all of the Aircraft Department in a more localized and efficient location.
