The C-97 is just the cargo version of the B-50. It would be great to see THREE airframes like that together(Fifi,doc,C-97). The C-97 used the same wings and engines as the B-50. We would have neither if it wasn't for the B-29! :D

But you miss the time after the show ends when EVERYONE is running to the parking lots, to get great unencumbered photos of most of the planes on the grounds (especially on Saturday) in the evening light.

Great news Tom! I was fortunate enough to see Ka114 twice last summer. She flew at the Hamilton Twilight Air Show and at Geneseo. Also saw her in Hamilton last year just before the poop hit the fan for Gerry with the problems around his businesses. But that is history now and glad it is getting around and flying for us each summer.

Has anybody stayed at the Red Roof Inn at the Belleville Road exit from I-94 in the last two years? The last time I was up there was 2012 and came in on Friday afternoon. The lobby was full and everyone was irate because the owner was charging 2-3 times the normal room rates because of the airshow, and they weren't even honoring peoples' reservation prices. Somehow I sailed through check in without getting screwed but I think I may have prepaid when I reserved. There was somebody calling the cops while I was still in the lobby...

Has anybody heard of any issues in the last two years with this place? The location is perfect but I'm not going to reserve for one price only to get screwed when I get there.

Lineup is looking good already and it is still 2014!!

Does anybody know which Fw-190 is coming form the MAM? I know he sold the flugwerk one and the other was still a little rough when I saw it back in May.

Sean, it is another Flugwerk FW-190A-8/N which Jerry Yagen just purchased quite recently, the one formerly owned by Bob Russell (N190BR). http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-ne ... w-190.html

Of course Yagen also has a few original Fw-190's in store, including an Fw-190A-3, two Fw-190A-8's (one currently on static display at MAM), and a Fw-190D-9, as well as a Flugwerk FW-190D, though none of them flown (yet).

Thank you for the clarification. I was kinda hoping he had one of the originals secretly restored already!!

GREAT adddition to the lineup Michael! A beautiful PV-2 Harpoon that fits the "Bombertown USA" theme.

Keep up the great work. Three announced aircraft in 2014 and we still have 8 months to the show. I am sure the final warbird lineup will be amazing.

OUTSTANDING addition to the lineup, Michael! Perfect fit for the Bombertown USA theme and the first time I remember an A-26 Invader at Thunder. Hope we can get some more A-26's to join this one!
