I picked this one up a while back and am just getting around to researching it deeper. The photo was taken on Harmon Field, Guam in November, 1945. Anybody recognize this nose mod? I'm thinking it may be 55th Weather Recon or possibly a squadron hack.

In addition to the nose mod, it looks like the other turrets have been deleted too.

I don't have any information on it, but it's certainly one of the better looking Liberator nose jobs I've seen.

Could it be a mod for flying people home after the war? Remove turret, glaze it in and it can carry more troops.
