Does anyone know of any old, non-flying HU-16's sitting out there collecting dust or bird droppings? Maybe in an outdoor museum and needs a new home? Thanks....

How about his one at Anoka County airport KANE just north of Minneapolis/St Paul MN.
I don't know who the owner is or the serial number on it.

That is a G-73 Mallard, the HU-16 Albatross' baby brother.

Bob's Airpark, Tucson, AZ. I think most of the Albys are in the surrounding yards. Too bad the yards keep going out of business. Guess the dirt under the planes is worth more than the aircraft.

There are a bunch in Tucson that I saw, as well as a few at Marana, Arizona alongside the old Chalks Mallards if I saw them correctly.

Cheers,
Richard

This HU-16B has been abandoned at ELP since 2005. It has been moved to a different location from where these photos were taken, but appears to still be in good condition.

CoastieJohn, nobody has asked the obvious question: Whatcha gonna do with an HU-16 if you find one? Most awesome yard art ever? (yes, I'd be insanely jealous)
