These photos have made the rounds for quite some time, but there's always a few not seen by most. Great color photos on Guam right after the war in 1945.

Those are awesome photos, I'd never seen any of them before. Such clarity and vivid colour. Thanks Mark.

Mark, thanks again for a great photo posting. I've never seen the two photos of the B-17's - working on identifying them by serial.

Yes thanks very much for sharing those with us Mark, they are quite stunning. Do you come across much in the way of RNZAF Pacific based aircraft?

What's up with the Hellcat? The prop and engine are all black, and the intakes blocked off. There looks to be some sort of sign taped to the prop as well. It almost looks like it's been "cocooned" for shipment, but I didn't think they did that with carrier-based aircraft.

These are just fantastic. Wishing I could go back in time and say "I'll take one of everything please."

Yah! there's a couple there I wouldn't mind storing in one of the buildings here at the ranch, no one would ever know
Tom I'd say they are the real deal as far as original color photos. No touching up I can see.

i'm no shutterbug, but most old kodachrome pics I've encountered have had a faded / duller hue about them. those look like they were shot today!!!
