... Or is it "Motors, Motors and more Motors". Per a few long overdue requests, here's a big batch of machines that make propellers turn for the motorheads.
I would love to be able to pinpoint and label the types but sorry, even though I know most the engine types in these photos, my knowledge is not enough to try to label them properly without making errors (and as you know I rarely make errors   ). Sources, SDASM archives, Fold3 archives, Library of Congress archives.

I believe photo #2 is the fitting of an R-4360 to the XB-44 (B-29A-5-BN, 4293845) to produce the XB-29D (later B-50) prototype. pop2

Spirit of Lincoln was actually the #1 YB-29 (4136954) and the ALLISONS made it the XB-39. It wound up back at KBFI as a company line maintenance trainer after being converted back to B-29 status and was cutup after the war. (did ya notice the XP-75 fuselage behind the left wing?)

You realize you're driving Warbird Kid nuts with all those engine crane photos don'tcha?

More objects that make other objects turn real fast that in turn make bigger objects move to the point they lift off the ground.

You mean Tab Hunter? No that's not him ... but he is my neighbor. I've known Tab for quite a while. Haven't seen him though recently as he is getting up there in age.
