Issue Six of Warbird Digest is in the mail to subscribers and will be on the newstand shortly.

Look for the 'special' annoucement in the first paragraph of the editorial.

The next issue looks good! I can't wait to get it.

So for 2006 you are publishing 6 issues? If I remember correctly you guys only did 4 per year. I get so many magazines it is hard to remember.

Eric-

Yes, we were quarterly, now we will be bimonthly.

Thanks to all our subscribers for making it possible. Without your support we wouldn't be able to keep doing it. As you may or may not know, the newsstand sales are not highly profitable, so we rely on our subscribers to keep us going.

We have a lot of special things planned for the next year, including more fantastic photography by world class photographers such as Paul Bowen, Bill Crump and Xavier Meal, among others, as well as indepth feature articles from around the globe.

We also plan to tour the B-25 extensively again next year. We flew it over 120 hours this year. The airplane is currently in Arizona having a considerable amount of work down. Right now it is at a paint shop having the paint stripped.

Thanks again to all our supporters. I have enjoyed meeting many of you this summer and look forward to meeing more of you.

If you have comments on how we can continue to improve our product, please let me know!

Tim

Ok Tim

I get to ask the stupid Question - does it now cost us 50% more for future subscriptions and if so are our currently yearly subs honored for 4 or 6 issues - no skin off my nose because I love the Mag but others will ask and I though I would get it out of the way.

Regards
John P

Hi John-

The price is going to remain the same. Your current subscription will end at its normal time, at renewal you will then have the six issues. Most folks' subscriptions would end on yearly calendar at about the same time anyway, since we aren't starting the bimonthy issues until the February issue.

Just out of curiousity, has your wife seen WD in Manila? I know that it is in Australia and NZ.

Keep up the good work! It is a great magazine!

Will you guys ever tour your B-25 in the Southern California area?

Does this mean we have seen the last of the Green Dragon?
Will it have a new paint scheme?

I will ask Anne about Manilla but I think she must have because she keeps talking about how good it is etc Unless she buys it in New York when she is over there but I think that unlikely.

Just some feedback from here - it is not on newstands in Queensland or at airports in Sydney , Canberra or Melb. I have a sub anyway but I keep my out for it when I go to newsagents.

Kindest regards and a fantastic job you do Between you and Classic wings you have the premium end of the Market covered I would think .

John

I encourage all the beer drinkers out there to try Warbird Beer, too! I'm looking forward to seeing the B-25 back in Hoosier skies next year! Keep up the good work! PJ

That is great news.

I've really enjoyed catching up after buying the first year at Thunder over Michigan. I was very happy to hear the current issue was going to press and even more so now that it is in the mail.

Great News!!!

You will be overjoyed to know that the Mag is in the "Sporting " section of the Glorrietta Mall Newstand in Manilla - next to the Playboy and Hustler mags - must raise eyebrows when Anne is rubbing sholders with the trenchcoat set to get her copy!!! The way she was talking it comes in through some sort of a dodgy process and is pretty expensive

Regards

Hi Bill-

No firm decision yet. My son picked out the Green Dragon paint scheme, so more than likely it will return. The paint was getting pretty ratty and it was the wrong color of green and the wrong underside color...so at a minimum we wanted to get that changed.

I decided to do a quick search on “b-25 green dragon” just to get an idea of what the original aircraft looked like, and a bit more of the story. Was a very surprised at what I found.

Can’t wait to see her with a new coat of paint!
