Didn't the XP-82 that's being restored to fly come from the Soplata collection also?

Yep. And K McBride has an FG-1D in storage that was from Walter's place too. I just mentioned the birds that had flown since leaving the farm...

I believe the XAD-1 was sold as well. No idea who the new owner is.

Whats the best way to contact the Soplata's about being interested in buying a plane or parts that might still be left ? I've tried to contact them several ways without much success. I would ride over and knock on their door but it's a 6 hour ride for me. I thought about tracking down Tom Reilly and asking him but isn't the easiest person to track down either.

Current Google Earth Pic shows a lot of planes have already left the property. This image is from 4/2012, newest
I could find.

That's one that I downloaded from the internet and put those labels on based on what I remembered from my 2002 visit.

How much of the YB-36 is actually left? All I've ever seen pics of is the forward fuselage..but with enough cash and effort it could be turned into a nice display.

Actually there is quite a bit of the 36 left on the property. As far as contacting the family, they are tired of people constantly calling, sending inquiries through the mail, and people stopping in uninvited. As of right now there are no plans to do any thing with the collection but if/when a decision is made WIX will be one of the first to know!

the wings are their, on the ground, near 6 feet in height, & i'm 5ft 9 inches. there are some additional fuselage sections their which I walked through. o'le walt proudly pointed out the nuclear bomb shackles still attached. I was their in 2003 & shot hundreds of pics, but all developed on film. I was their over 5 hours, even went in & under his house!! if somebody has the motivation to scan & post them here i'll loan them out, but want them back. i'll reply w/ captions / descriptions of anything that any of you can't identify, but I can. any motivated souls want to take on the task?? I was never a photo bucket fan, or could crack the nut w/ it.
