Love that P-38! Here's hoping to read about P-40's and P-47's next. Good job TOM!

That is one terrific addition to the lineup, Michael! We don't see a P-38 at Thunder every year and this fits the theme perfectly.

As we approach the 4 month countdown to the show, the gathering of warbirds gets better and better.

:D

Nice, a P-38 and a rare C-60. Wouldn't it look nice to have a Lockheed twin tail heritage flight :supz:

Now that's a great idea! Bring some of your Twin Tail Ale, we'll bribe the P-38 crew into flying with us in the C-60...

I understand the Lockheed "twin tail" connection, but it is a little bit of a stretch of compatibility between the twin tails of the Lodestar with the twin boom/twin tail of the P-38. What might be better would be a "twin tailed" grouping of the B-24 and B-25 with the C-60.

And for a future year maybe we can someday see the P-38, P-61 and perhaps XP-82 fly together!

Should be a great show this year.

A good idea to pair up aircraft types for flybys, but unless the pilots hold Formation and Safety Team (FAST) cards, it won't happen.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

We are now UNDER 4 months to the show! Looking forward to hearing more warbird additions to the lineup soon and hopefully seeing the first aircraft list on the show's web site before too long.

Wow! Great to have a P-47 at Thunder for this year's lineup. This is not that common of a traveler to air shows and is perfect for the theme! If we can get a P-40 it will pretty much fill out the USAAF WWII fighters for the show.

The C60 crew can accommodate formation flights.

John,

Be sure to let Kevin Walsh or Mike Luther know about this qualification.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.
