I know this if off topic a bit, but I just had to let it out.

My Cousin, PFC Joe Irrthum, is now heading toward Iraq to help fight in the war against terror.

Being a Desert Storm Veteran myself, I could say that I would not have been as thrilled to be there, if I didnt receive letter from home from the kids in school and others around the world, who never knew me, but took the time to just write a letter to a soldier.

If anyone would like to take the time to just write a letter to my cousin, let me know and I will provide an address for him as soon as I get a letter from him when he gets overseas.

This is our families 6th generation soldier. Our Great-Grandfather was in the NAvy in WWI, Our Grandfather, was in WWII, our oldest Uncle was in Korea, two of our uncles were in Vietnam, and my youngest uncle is in his 30th year in the U.S.A.F. and of course, myself being in Desert Storm in 1990-91. As you can see my family, is pretty much and has always fought for freedom since well, since the WWI and If I trace it back, it might go back to even the Revolutionary war.

So, I just wanted to let everyone know, how proud I am in my "little cousin Joe" who just turned 21, and is a PCF in the Minnesota Army National Guard, for sticking up for what he beleives in and continuing in the fight for freedom in our family for our beloved country, the USA!

God Bless our Troops and I hope they all come home safely!

Your cousin will be in our prayers. My son also served recently in Iraq so we know how proud and anxious you must feel. Please tell him how grateful we are for his service to our country.

My cousin just deployed to Iraq and a friend is going back for his second tour, both are marines. With luck and good thoughts directed there way they will return safely.

Remember them All!

My little brother is a Utah Guardsman on tour #2 in Iraq - first tour was at Bagram AFB Afghanistan.
