Tom,

Agree this is a NAA Fighter "Heritage Flight." While adding a B-25 would be interesting it would probably complicate the formation too much and make it less likely that the other three would be willing to fly it.

What I would like to see is a big NAA Heritage/Legacy jet flight someday to include the Sabreliner, T-2 Buckeye, FJ-4B Fury, F-100 and F-86. Maybe a future Thunder Over Michigan.............

Why would the others not be willing to fly it?

I don't think anyone wants to see another "Sabre Dance."

As Dan K. brought to our attention on the Oshkosh forum, the C-1A Trader being restored is almost ready for the trip to Wisconsin. If all goes as planned it will follow its air show debut there with a trip to Thunder for the weekend of August 9-11.

Any chance of having one of the Convair 580s on display this year?

And, don't forget Jack's two P-51's based at Willow Run.

That will make 5 Mustangs on the line - a B & C and 3 D's.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Under 2 weeks to the show now! Looking forward to some last lineup updates soon and a schedule on the web site!

Maybe a few more of the warbirds at Oshkosh this week can swing by Michigan for the following weekend.

Update on the Thunder performer's page on the web site:

http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org/airshow/ ... ers/legacy

Now there will be a 3-ship "Legacy Flight" (Corsair/Skyraider/Skyhawk) formation to complement the 3-ship "Heritage Flight" (Mustang/Sabre/Super Sabre).

The show keeps getting better!

This just got better - this awesome Heritage and Legacy flights are making up for the loss of the Mossy, ME-262 and the FW190.

Not really; if by that, you mean being attractive to the audience segment that would have come out for the Mossie, 190 and 262.

Still a thin show for the WW2 buffs. We all wish we were at Duxford last month!

I think that it's a respectable offering considering the plight of many shows this year. To their credit, they never gave up!

Oh, and by the way, I don't recall that the Fw 190 was ever in the mix for Thunder 2013.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

GREAT to see the "Legacy" Flight open the show and the "Heritage" Flight close it!

Should be a great show, good having the O-2's in the Vietnam segment, even though they are not on the aircraft list yet.

Would be nice to see the C-123 and C-1A fly in the show, but hopefully will catch them on arrival Friday.

Should be a fantastic Thunder weekend!
