You sound like you know him or at least have heard of him before. From what I've read, he used to hail from your neck of the woods.

Rented a Cessna from my local flying club yesterday and cruised down to Urbana to see thier B-17. They have built up an impressive operation and they are a great bunch of guys to BS with. They have a long way to go but considering what they started with, this is awesome.
