I see the Facebook photos have been updated, but it seems you now have to have a Facebook account to view them!

I use to be able to look at the Desert Rat pictures on Facebook without signing up for an account, but the last time I tried I could not get past the invite for an account. I thought something had changed with Facebook. So if it has to do with how the pictures are posted I'll wait a few days and try again.

Another thanks to Lucas for posting the pictures! The Facebook problem seems to still exists. Personally, I like seeing the updates posted on this forum.

Thanks again,

hey everyone and Happy Thanksgiving from the Desert Rat/Tangerine Build Team!

as Lucas said we've never set restrictons on the page for viewing. I will explore why it's not letting everone see them. Perhaps it may have something to do with settings per person as mentioned , since we have 4 different admins for our facebook page and each of us may have our personal settings different.

I know I post the photos I take both here and on facebook. This is because I know people on here do not all have FB accounts and our goal is to reach out to as many people on as many platforms as possible.

On a side note that reaching out has gotten us over 1000 individual likes on our facebook page from all over the world! From my back of the napkin math, we're one of the most followed restoration teams out there. It is a testament to everyone both on that page and on here and on all the fourms that we post to that our little group is really doing something. We thank you and everoyne out there for the support and look forward to continue in sharing this adventure with you all!!

James

James,

I'm not surprised that you've got a huge following- you're restoration a B-17E TO FLY!! The fact that she will fly is the most exciting part.

Keep up the awesome work,
Chappie

Did more work today. Mike and I did riveting in the nose section and Chris worked on getting new skin panels for top of the nose.
Here are the pictures from today on my flickr account for everyone that can not access our facebook page.
Enjoy.

hi everyone,

was out at the shop yesterday and I wanted to give a quick update on progress.

Pictures should be up tomorrow.

We've slowed down a bit due to one of our major workers being unable to come out everyday like he used to.

nothing bad or anything just busy.

We have done more riveting though, we replaced the final stringer in the waist area so now from the factory join back to the rear
door is now structurally sound for all intents and purposes. The dorsal fin has begun being reskinned and was in progress when I left yesterday.

Also most of the upper third of the nose skins have been remade and will be fitted and riveted in the next couple weeks.

On a side note. Lucas has now added an ebay store where we are selling shirts and other items to help fun the restoration

(if we are allowed to post the link here I will in my next update)

Hope all is well with everyone this Holiday Season

James
