You will find the dataplate on the back of the post behind the co-pilots seat.(where the Nav table goes, in front of the oil tank, about 4 feet up.) Also, we have one on the exterior just aft of the main cargo door.
Im assuming it's standard location, but our cockpit was modded a bit by Millardair back in the day..

The external aft one was mandated by our good buddies in Oak Junction for older aircraft, saw a ton of 'aftermarket' s/n tags on box hauler 727's and 737's on the exterior usually under the horizontal stab. since it dawned on someone that airplanes hardly ever back into the ground. On 727-100's the factory data plate is on the right side of the vertical fin @ the intersection of the doghouse with the upper fuselage, on -200's it's on the r/h aft entry door frame about eyeball high.
