Hope you don't mind if I add a few of mine. Had a great time as always. This was my first time attending on Friday and will definitely not be the last.

Have at it Jeff, nice pictures. I normally try to attend on Friday as it is usually less crowded and you get first crack at the goodies in the swap meet.

Bob Russell and his team acquired Tinker Bell from the CAF a few years back..Bob is the friend of the Dixie Wing and attends events with us in his FW-149 when his busy schedule as Monroe NC airport manager permits.

Last year I dropped by to see Bob when I was in Charlotte and saw the plans and the progress for the C-46...including to fit it out as a medical transport configuration.

Please drop by to see Bob and thank him and his team for his efforts with the C-46... :drink3:

BTW any comments on the CAF Dixie Wing P-51 Red Nose paint job??? Check out the quality of the finish as well as the new stenciling... pop2

I was going to go but I'm in Bogota for the weekend, looks like it's an awesome show as usual. Great to see FiFi there. Hope to go next year.

Camp looks really good, it's a good shot without a lot of moderns mucking it up. Thanks for sharing.

Can't post a MAAM update without the P-61. Progress continues. Slow and steady.

I never saw the wing tanks before.

And I've heard from a few people that "That P-61 will never fly! Its too much work!" Well I say, one look at these shots would say otherwise.

I agree. Why would they go this far and not fly it? The good Lord willing the Black Widow will not go the way of the Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby.

How cool would it be to see this baby fly at dusk at a future WWII Weekend with nothing but nav lights and blue exhuast flames ablaze! WOW!

Lastly, Tinker Belle is very airworthy. I witnessed the ultra-low level pass she made at Pungo two weeks ago. If anyone here knows the air crew please tell them that pass was I-M-P-R-E-S-S-I-V-E!!!!

Great pics of the P-61..they're definitely coming along!

As for the C-46, I thought she had been grounded due to rising costs and lack of demand at airshows, rather than any technical issues. Great to see her out and about again.
