Re: C&P's F-82: in 2003 I was told that it would take at least another five years to complete it.

That has to be a very lengthy undertaking, to say the least...

When you say "potential flying status" does that mean the restoration will basically be an airworthy quality restoration using airworthy components? (as opposed to using non-airworthy components to cosmetically reconstruct the aircraft).

Just wondering...

Thanks!

P.S. - Any idea of what colors she will be painted in?

Well I couldn't resist. Those of you who have known me for a while (yes both of you) can probably guess I would love to see my old CAF B-23 get back in shape, & flying. Theres a lot of hopefull projects out there. Gonna be cool when the Dixie Wing CAF gets the P-63 done. Fingers crossed here.

I wouldn't mind hauling away that little Twin Beech beside the Mauler for restoration; I love those things!

Robbie,

any photo's of the P-63 in restoration ? If your Dixie Wings SBD is any indication, that KingCobra should be outstanding as a resto project.

The Dixie Wing P-63, was that the one the CAF had in French markings many moons ago?

Thanks,

Lynn

I would have to give my vote to the Mid-Atlantic P-61. I think that would be a huge draw for people to see!

I am not too closely involved with that restoration, but I do know they had aiirworthy spars machined. I think they will go with the original markings. I'll check and let you know.
