If you guys want, I can create a section devoted to posting these types of items so they will be available for everyone to see.
Any interest?
That would be great Scott!

True. I have the entirety of the personal effects of Joel Devolentine, one of the US fatalities of the Berlin Airlift. I have all his college stuff (He was a football player) his wings, loads of pics from his wartime experience (A B-29 man, kept stateside as a trainer, then war ended as he was being shipped out) and everything else up to his death in 1949.

His sone gave us this huge box of stuff.

Heres a short article on Capt. DeVolentine.

At the bottom of carlisle1926’s post, you can click on Profile or PM. Clicking on Profile, it appears he has not visited the site since February 2017. He posts a website: http://www.jasonbarnettartist.com but, it is no longer active.

You might try a PM (Private Message) but, if he hasn’t visited since 2017 it’s unlikely he’ll respond. You could try posting a new subject asking members if they know how to contact Jason Barnett.

The other thing you might try is an online search of his name. If he’s still in Texas, perhaps you’ll find some contact information.

Best Wishes!

Found him on Facebook as Artist Jason Barnett(cjasonbarnett at gmail dot com) with a last posting of Nov. 21 still in Texas... not to be confused with another Texan, Jason Barnett Artist working in Portland,Oregon (who is not a metal fabricator).

I went to a garage sale and met a guy that was responsible for setting up all the cameras for some of the Bikini atom bomb tests. He had a couple of prints that I purchased and he said he had some negatives that he was able to keep. I was amazed at his stories, the negative and his photos.

A couple weeks later I drove by the same home and there was an estate sale sign and I stopped to take a look. Turned out the gentleman I spoke with had passed away a couple days after the garage sale. I asked his daughter who was there coordinating the estate sale about the photos and negatives I had seen just two weeks earlier. She said that they thought they did not have any value and actually threw all the stuff away a week prior to the estate sale to focus on selling the furniture and eventually the house.

Such a travesty to him and his legacy.
