I spent the day at the Temple Airport yesterday to witness the 2012 Central Texas Air Show. I had a fun time and I think the turnout was pretty good considering the Texas heat and sunshine!

The show started out with a Barksdale B-52H flyover:

It was really great to see Texas Raiders and Devil Dog:

Rick's Skyraider and Collings Huey were some of my favorite parts of the show:

What can I say about the Cold War Air Museum's Russian Hind? It was just killer to see in the air. Makes me think of "Red Dawn" :) Now I need to make a trip to their museum in Lancaster sometime soon...

I'm already looking forward to next year's show!

Thanks for sharing the photos! The Hind looks like a beast.

I'm hoping I can make that show next year when I should be closer.

Guys,
That Blue Spitty "High Lady", Was designed and built by Supermarine Aircraft of Cisco, Texas. (Formerly of Queensland, AUS). Mike O'Sullivan is the guy that leads the company. Great guy and great aeroplane. Check it out at http://www.supermarineaircraft.com

Belt drive gearcase attached to 502 ci LS2 Aluminum Corvette Engine. First flight on Saturday took a 90 YO American who went to England to fly Spitfires (without permission) for the Brit's. AAF did not catch up to him until around 1943. Fellow signed cargo door on "High Lady".

Regards to forum.
