Nope, none of those were donation birds. Those were likely bought from the GSA, like a couple of thousand other surplus Huey's. They are, most likely, good to go.

This is the U.S. State Dept storage area and all their UH-1's. they are stock piling them for later use around the world. they get first grab for surplus aircraft and they are taking all the UH-1's they can get.

Two of the Melbourne Hueys were just rescued by the American Huey 369 guys out of Indiana :)

& I also managed to get the serial #'s of a lot of the others which I will now attempt to trace the history of with the help from a couple of guys I know who have access to the info :)
