So I was thinking that it might be fun to just have a long thread (sort of like the aircraft I spotted today thread) with it limited to photos you've found, or have been sent by a friend, etc... with warbirds in postwar civilian markings.

Ok, so this is my find for this post...

Any ideas on where? (I do know).

Converted BT-13. Actually a McKissick Viceroy, Price was the name of the owner. (Aerofiles.com)

So would Bessy count?

I managed to carefully remove the green deltas in November, to be replaced by some newer-style CAF roundels we have laying around this spring.
I know the leaf won't be correct, but it'll look a heck of a lot better than the friggin triangle.

That camera angle on the UC-78 (Crane, Bobcat, etc.) really makes it look about 6 feet longer. Actually looks pretty good.

Was Bill Barber's Curtiss photographed at Kermit's hanger?

Thx,

Yes Bill Barber's Curtiss was in the hanger at Kermits the last time I saw it was in their storage area.

I personally think that some of the most attractive warbirds are the ones in civilian schemes. The first P-51 I ever saw in person was Bob Hoover's yellow and black Rockwell mustang.

Can't resist this quesion, so here goes....are the planes posted on this thread painted in authentic, historically accurate civilian paint schemes? :P
