Best I remember, I took these sometime between1992and 1994. Back when it was still fun to go to Saudi Arabia. Anybody know which one it is?

The Leif Hellstrom - Dan Hagedorn book on the A-26 in Foreign service, has tons of data and photos regarding the use of the A-26s not only in Saudi Arabia, but all around the globe.

A book that it is a must for anyone with a serious interest in historical aviation research.

Saludos,

Tulio

Well done Brad. I have been on the lookout for photos of this bird for some time. Seem to remember posting a plea here regarding photos of it. And now we have them. Good job, sir!

Somewhere I have pictures of the A-26 boneyard in Dharan but I haven't seen them in years and have no idea where they are! Not far from the A-26 in Riyadh was a fenced in area with a couple of trashed out Lightnings and Strikemasters. I also recall a T-35 buckaroo and a couple of Strikemasters mounted on poles. Sorry the pictures aren't too good. The Arabs didn't like us taking them so I had to sneak nearly all the shots. The crown jewl on base was a beautiful DC-3 kept over in the Lockheed hanger. It was the first DC-3 ever owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Saudi used to be one of my favorite destinations, but that changed a few years ago!

Rob is right about the identity of the A-26. It's also listed in the fine book that Tulio mentioned. Scott, feel free to use the pictures.
