Well certainly interesting..but depends on what authority he has to get them out, have made an appropriate inquiry.

I know Chris and yes it's the real deal. He's acquired all the permits and permissions to remove the aircraft.

Sensitive subject.

Only known resting place (at lest to me) of an Irving is the Shortland islands and more or less the same for Val's and Betty's.

The Val was removed a couple of years ago and it was definitely not done with all required permits.

Just hope we are not speaking of the same one.

The aircraft were still there as of a month ago and nothing has been removed. Chris has done what needs to be done to legally acquire and remove the aircraft and he has no intention of breaking any laws.

I've seen the photos and talked to Chris at length and I suggest anyone interested in acquiring the aircraft, give him a call.

Hope this helps.

I know of Chris thru his friend. I won't say who his friend is but he is a former warbird owner and collector. The both of them have been working of this deal for years now. And yes they have all the required permits to remove the aircraft. I was told that the deal was finally completed just last week.. So if your in the market... go for it.
