FG-1D pilot, I'm glad to read that you authenticated it as a "high quality WWII replica", with "actual 30 calibre machine gun bullet holes".

"high quality WWII replica",

I trying to imagine that coming out of FG pilot's mouth I just can't make that happen.
If I shot some 7mm holes into the B-25 stab hanging in my garage I could say it's off the
"Ruptured Duck" and then I could sell it for big bucks and retire!!!!!

I was trying to be nice and said it wouldn't look bad in someone's hangar. I told him it looked like a 30.30 rifle was used to shoot at it. "Authentic Replica" sounds like a new phraze. I have several authentic computer generated photos of many things. Think I could sell them?

I think I'm a bit surprised he went to the effort to have someone look at it then re-post it as not real.

BROUGHT THIS PIECE TO THE CAVANAUGH FLIGHT MUSEUM..IN ADDISON, TEXAS. THE STAFF INSPECTED THE PIECE AND VERIFIED THAT THIS PIECE OF FUSELAGE IS A HIGH QUALITY WWII REPLICA!

I can imagine the conversation....

"Yes, sir, it's not real, but it is a high-quality replica!"
