The F-100F launched out of Midland yesterday about 11:15. She arrived at Ellington Field in great shape and is now in her new hangar. She's beautiful ! Evolution Aerostyling did a great job getting the details just right !

Wendovertom/Tom P., myself and I am sure some others really liked the Super Sabre ThunderBIRDS colors!. But I understand the reason for the paint scheme change and appreciate the historic look of this outstanding flying F-100F.

The Thunderchickens have gotten enough attention and get their egos stroked too much as it is. I do not think Col Day has ever gotten enough public acknowledgement for what he has done. I bet his name has never been mentioned in a high school class and that is a shame. I like what the CF has done with this plane and I wish I could be there to see Col Day strap it on again later this month.

Well, I AM one who is sad to see the T-birds paint scheme go.

That being said, however......

Wow. Now let's load it up with a couple of Shrikes or something.

AMEN brother, after working airplanes for so long and dealing with the Thunderbirds during Red Flag I too am glad to see the jet NOT in the Thunderbirds colors.

Great scheme and a beautiful job indeed. Celebrating the guys from the Vietnam War is a first class act.
