I've flown that G59 when it lived in Australia. Nice aircraft to fly although the cockpit layout was a little unusual...

thats also a new fine project in the shop - a North American T28 (Fennec version) awaiting restoration

Image

The restoration will start when the shop found an enthusiast for purchase. The costumer can tell his wishes and the shop will do that ;-) So the costumer does not buy a ready-to-fly warbird. Its like looking for a new car and adding crosses at the wishlist

another major project is the ditched Focke Wulf (Flugwerk) Fw190A8) former F-AZZJ. The team is turning into the final lap, the checkered flag could be seen. Tons of work with the electrical system. The team engaged John, who was also responsible for the Paul Allen one-nine-o to do the wirings following the original plans and using as much factory-new wartime parts as he can get.

Ditched is the term Mathias......Lucky and happy hte pilot got out alive and that we get to see the plane restored again.

The Flugwerk replicas had had their share of issues. But like all the Russian Yak replicas / reconstructions they will have a positive impact on how future generations will perceive WW2 aviation.

Tks for updating us ground bugs :-)

Lets talk about my personal highlight-project in the shop. "My" Lady in Red. Its really a huge and longtime project. The Hawker SeaFury D-CACE with original Bristol Centaurus engine. A complete "frame off" restoration. Tons of work, but such a beauty !!! Responsible for that ultimative restoration is Felix Ohlhoff. He is the man for those British aircraft ..... and yes, they are driving him mad sometimes

The big points are done, but a billion of little things are taking the speed out of that project. Its hard to find spare parts, so lot of parts must be rebuild from "scratch". Some telephone calls worldwide, detail pictures from other originals and so one. paperwork is very complicated, detail drawings more than one time not available. Yes, its a very special job, but Felix loves that bird - of course he wouldn't say it loud to other people :P

Big Ship - February 2017

First roll out in July 2017 - CEO Achim Meier

November 2017

detailwork - cockpit, electrical system , engine controls (front and backs seater)

what a beautiful airplane

Truly a work of ART, and treated as such. What a tidy shop. Pinnacle of aircraft deserve pinnacle of resto company. Must be a very secure feeling to have Meier Motors tending to your baby. Can we see more of that Dove that I spy? Or was it just passing through? Always liked those. DeHavilland knows all about works of art... the lines, the lines

I see it's probably D-INKA and not a warbird, and I don't want the border patrol coming after me. So nevermind! Great pics and thanks for sharing.

4sure she is. The "Dove" was used as military plane also, so its a warbird in civil livery ;-)
