It would be neat if DT2 and Feb. followed suit with the bare metal and matte finish. Extremely sharp!

Which P-51 was this previously?

Also, I do like the matte finish, but having looked closely at the original photo, the markings seem to be a bit more shiny, something I've noticed in more than a few pictures (i.e. that markings applied in the field weren't always "flat").

Very cool to see the K-model props to match the new K-model identity! And what a superb job by those tasked with applying the markings!

What's the FG for this aircraft? Lt. Bert Lee still around?

342nd FS 348th FG 5th AF July-Aug 1945.
I believe both his kills were in P-47Ds.

I like the NON-polished fuselage.

Does the original aircraft's name result from the pilot's transition from P47 to P51?
Maybe in the context of a P47 a P51 is "Fragile but Agile"

It is N98CF, registered to Comanche Fighters. It was formerly Twilight Tear that was at
Chino. However, now reigstered as a P-51K with a P-51k data plate. Thats all I am going to say.
