I'll be out to volunteer with y'all when you're at Love Field. When are you scheduled to arrive there?

Hey Dean! Great, we will be getting in during the afternoon of the 19th. No 262 this year but the Huey will be flying rides with us again.

Great shots Ryan. What aircraft were you in that the P-51s flaps needed to be deployed?

Thanks to everyone who post photographs of all the planes we love.

I live in a very rural part of the country, and unless I embark on a long trip to a more populated area, I almost never see warbird type aircraft.

Oh, but when I do spot one, it is priceless. A few years ago while driving in my pickup with a friend, I saw a B-17 down low, fighting a stiff headwind, headed west probably to Denver or Loveland. I stopped on the side of the road, shut off the truck, and just listened and watched till it was finally was gone. That was a good day!

Keep em coming!

It's always fun to have the Collings folks in town...what a great bunch of people to hang with.

Plus they have nifty toys.

The Huey flew 20 rides on Saturday alone! The low clouds kept the P-51 on the ground on Saturday, but the B-17 and B-24 both made AM and PM flights.

Good stuff!

Jim,

Great shot from the backseat of Six-Shooter. I interviewed Chuck in September 2012 for Warbird Digest and was rewarded with my first Mustang ride, which was also a FAST flight with Ken Wagner in Lady Alice, a pilot who's name slips my mind right now flying Doug Matthews 'The Rebel', and Doug in his F4U-4. Great flight! Loved every moment even if it was 98 degrees! I got Go-Pro videos and stills from that flight!

That flight just about completed my trifecta. When I was growing up I wanted to fly a Pitts Special, an F-16, and a P-51. Made my first Pitts flight in 1994 (eventually logged 15 hours), got 1.1 hours in an F-16D on an Incentive Ride (1.22 Mach), and finally got a flight in a Mustang in 2012. Could not get stick time in the Mustang of course, but close enough!

Chuck is a first class guy! awesome to fly behind him. Made it out to Chino on Sunday. Didn't plan on taking pictures but couldn't resist after everything launched. Who knows, maybe next year we will attend?
