John Finn Pearl Harbor vet and MOH *RIP*

I am sad to report the death of MOH Pearl Harbor vet John Finn. He was 100.

Pearl Harbor vets are my all time heroes. A sad day for me. He had no problem telling his stories and could be often found on many Pearl Harbor documentary shows.

Had the honor of seeing him at the December 7 Fly over two years ago in Fredericksburg. Got an autographed picture and bio from him for our work on the fly over. RIP Sir.

Wow, I was at Fredricksburg 2 years ago also and they gave us all copies of a wartime photo of him in recognition of us making the effort to join the celebration. Sad to hear but all to common nowdays. We only have a few years left to get all the stories and history we can to pass on.

He was a Chief Petty Officer's Chief. I am more then humbled and honored to have been part of the Chief Petty Officer linage that included a hero like John Finn.
