Has anyone visited the Spruce Goose?

You'd like it but there are other options. The Jet museum in Hillsboro. I posted the link yesterday.
Terry Brandt's huge antique a/c museum in hood river 60 miles east on I-84, Tillamook 70 miles west on the coast.
Pearson Air Museum across the river from PDX INt at fort Vancouver
or Olympic flight museum up in Olympia 75 miles north (you can touch things there).

I did Evergreen, Tillamook and Olympic. All are great. Give yourself lots of time for travel and the museums themselves.

I really need to get back down to Evergreen. Maybe later in the year.

Actually, I am going to be heading east, south east down to SunRiver. Anyone need anything from Redmond, OR? (Roberts Field) Butler Aviation?

Isn't this where the A-26 N3222T lives?

Is it still there? As far as I know it is (was) the most original military A-26 around, with quite an interesting history!

She's a real beauty! She was there as of last December.

Those are great pics of the B-26 and the rest of Tillamook!

Tillamook (don’t forget to buy some cheese) and Evergreen are awesome - definitely not to be missed...

I did Evergreen & Tillimook two years ago.
Enjoyed them both....though you can't compare the two.

An under-looked feture of Evergreen is its exceptional helicopter collection which was acquired from another collector in Oregon. There are very early Bells and such you won't see anywhere else.

Just a reminder to all that there's more to life than Mustangs and not all warbirds have fixed wings... :D

Evergreen is a don't miss in my book, its been 4 years but was great.
As for Hercules, at the time you could go inside of her which was unforgettable.

Have a great trip!
