Had a P2V Neptune tanker transiting through the area of Goodyear, Arizona an hour or so ago. He was too high to identify any markings but it sure sounded nice!

Caught this interesting helicopter flying high over Bristol Motor Speedway today (Oct. 22, 2015).
Don't recognize it. Anyone have any ideas?

Three P-51's flying in formation: Ole Yeller and I think Mormon Mustang couldn't recognize the third mustang, flying north over Sugarhouse park in Salt Lake City. And a KC-135 flying in the same direction.

Watched Fifi from the office window. Not that often you get to look out across at a B-29.

Yep...I saw Fifi while eating my lunch today. Heard her first....my brain did that thing where you doubt what you heard and look out at the road to see if you can find the source of the sound...then you realize you had better get out of the car and look at the sky....and there she was....rumble rumble rumble rumble.. :supz:

Boeing E-6 Mercury, 4 touch and goes at Castle Airport, formerly Castle AFB. It's been doing this about once a month for a while now.

Heard the rumble of four engines and ran outside my office to catch a glimpse of B-29 Superfortress "FIFI" flying over Bristol Motor Speedway today.
Lots of cloud coverage overhead so was only able to grab a couple of photos and only one in decent focus before she passed out of sight.
She is on a transit flight from her May 18-22 stop in Birmingham, Alabama to a stopover May 25-29 in Wall, New Jersey.

Nice shot of FIFI there, Davo87!

This past Saturday (May 21), a B-25 flew over the house around lunch time (sorry, no ID possible), and later in the day a blue and yellow Stearman was cruising around.

The Colling's gang is in town this week and the B-17 and B-24 have been rumbling back and forth along the Santa Cruz mountain ridge.
Can see it all from my second story balcony.
:D

ed; saw the B-25 today!

Just before noon the AT-16 Harvard of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight moving from south to north across my house in Zeist in the Netherlands.
On it's way to do a pass at he Dutch Army Museum in Soesterberg, that is just 3 miles north of here.
So after ten minutes it came back returning to it's home at Gilze Rijen airbase.

Of course it not only looks good, it sounded great too and you could here it coming a long way of.

My father and I we're at the the museum last night doing a few things, when we heard the unmistakable sound of a Huey coming in. Sure enough it was our local workhorse "Eagle One" that is based at the airport. They ended up flying right over the museum! Cool way to cap off Wednesday

While working on our F-86L today there were two F-35s from Hill AFB that made a low pass on the field - talk about LOUD!

The oldest flying Catalina in the world, PH-PBY just flew from east to west across my house in Zeist in the Netherlands.
She turns 75 years old this year.
And still looks great!
