There's a link to this article on the Yankee website. Anybody out there have any more info?

Steve, The news is correct about leaving hanger 2. The B17 and B25 will move to Hanger 1 shortly. The C-47 is up north getting some cockpit work done, but will go to hanger 1 as well. Most of restoration will have to shut down for a bit, the SPAD is going to hanger 1 and my PB4Y-2 turret project has moved to a T Hanger on the east side. The offices are going to move next week. So it's a little crazy right now, but life goes on at Yankee. Thanks JOE

I just read the story on Yankee's website this morning. Sad news.

Any thought to contacting anyone at Oakland County to see if they can donate space?

What I hear is that the county can't afford to pay to heat the hangar right now. The Musuem should be moving across the airport to the college soon.

Cancel that moving truck! Don't know the details, but we are staying put in hanger 2. My turret project will stay in the T hanger. JOE

Well that's (mostly) good news. Sorry you're turret project is getting moved (unless it's to better digs.)

Totaly our choice. Will give us more room, and we are at a point that alot of motors, pumps and panels need to come apart. We have set up a couple of work tables that allow us to leave everything together. Got a couple more on the crew, so there is work going on 3 days a week. Always have room for a few more! Thanks JOE
