These pictures were provided to me by the airport manager, Jim McLaughlin, of Buffalo, Wyoming last Saturday....He did a considerable amount of work on ex-Hirth tanker N7459C..15-1196...37232....This aircraft was restored to wartime configuration by Jim, and then flown to Pensacola Naval Air Museum...Year was 2000...I can't remember the pilots name, I have heard that he is not with us any longer...Along as crew was Jim M.....Another Jim,....and the owner, Connie Hirth....I found these rather interesting, as I hope you will as well..
The engines and props were removed after arriving at Pensacola...The replacement prop blades in the photo were un-airworthy DC-3 blades, cut down to replicate the PV-2 blades
