I really miss the one that used to be on display at the NMUSAF. I look for them to get one of them back actually.

Interesting that a DWC replica is being built just across Renton Aeropeurto from where all the 707/727/737/757's come from-of course, the originals all left from NAS Sand Point about 15 miles up the Lake from Boeing Renton 84 years ago-

That is the one that may end up coming back to the NMUSAF I believe. TO be honest, I am not sure why the one that was there ever left.

I think that the one that was in Dayton was actually on loan and was owned by the City of Santa Monica, so was returned when the museum was opened there. Maybe it will come back to Dayton now.

Hello,

The original "Seattle" crashed in Alaska and was recovered years later. I saw the largely intact remains of the fuselage in a museum in Anchorage in the early 1970s, but understand that this was further damaged later in a hanger fire. Does anyone know the status of the original "Seattle"?

Kevin,
.
