So, it's been over a year since anyone posted on this thread.
I've heard that the Mk XVIII Spitfire sold and has stayed in the U.S.
Any other news that might be shared with us Wixers?

Andy

Hi Guys,

Funnily enough I was asked to source some of those AVIMO couplings size 3 52/37 for a Formula 1 car restoration project.
I asked a company called Taunton who say it's not produced anymore.

Who could possibly have some or sell some(or who would know who has/sells) them.

Thanks for your help.
Wonderful forum.

Keep 'em flying

Chris

Boy, this thread fell off a cliff the last few pages. Thoroughly enjoyed reading and seeing the repairs Rich made. Shame it hasn't continued. Here's to hoping it picks back up. :drink3:

I know what you mean. I was wondering if Rich worked for Jim any longer of if Jim got out of warbirds.

Rich keeps quite active on the P-51 Facebook group page, and posts about things around the hangar there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/17758532448/

Wow only $4.5M for that Mustang...

Who owned it? Maybe Pablo Escoban for that ask!

The link does not work any longer.

But, the asking price, the spare engines and parts, and Platinum Fighters, point out to the last of Connie Edwards former Guatemalan AF Mustang.

It was pretty much military stock, as it was in 72 or 73 when Dr. Hull brought the surviving Mustangs from Guatemala, to Sugarland, TX and then went to Connie Edwards in Big Spring, TX

Sorry, I don't have any photos at hand now.

Saludos,

Tulio
