It is Friday here in Galveston, looking forward to the show at Lone Star tommorrow and Sun. Whether is very nice here now, keep hoping it stays. Scott Perdue in P-38 Ruff Stuff,is here, he and Bill Roach and I had lunch at Gaidos. I got a good look at the cockpit. Howard came in in the Bearcat, also some F-18s, the 17 and 25 have been flying. I flew some practice rolls this am, nice views. The Hurricane looks really good, I hope to fly with it.

Hello Bill,
Thanks for sharing your insights @ LSFM.
You mentioned posibly flying with the Hurricane and I assume you meant in some type of formation.
What other types have you flown your Spitfire with in airshows?

John, I have flown formation in shows or for photos with most of the types, a few rare ones like Mosquito missing. By flying "with " the Hurricane I meant in formation, but of course I 'd love to fly the Hurricane also. By the way, I might have a back seat available leaving here for W. Houston. I will not know until Sun afternoon and we see how the weather is or if I have to stay over Sun night. Gordon R. came in,, also the Dallas guys with TBM and OV -10.

Yea OV-1, that twin engine thing that sounds like the oil was drainied and the bearings are about to sieze. Or like a giant dentist drill. I guess every plane has its fans.

Iti is a little grey this am in GLS, but the rain has almost stopped, and looks like flying may commence.

The Hurricane is sceduled to fly, but not with the Spitfire. The Hurricane pilot does not have a formation card, so I am suppossed to just follow him.

Saw on another board that a Spit and a Hurricane collided on the runway.
Oops!

I am shocked to hear about the happenings at GLS today. I hope that all can be repaired.

I suggest that we wait and let Bill fill us in on the details, but just to let everyone know, I understand no one was injured, which is of course the most important thing.

I saw it happen and neither aircraft appeared to be seriously damaged. It was a (relatively) slow-speed affair.

Uh oh! Here's hoping that everyone is OK and the damage is minor.
