Isn't that the one that found it's way to Reilly at some point? I swear I saw a picture of that exact fuselage along side his hangar after the CF B-24 had left... and I think it eventually went to Ed Kalitta? I could be totally wrong here though... I guess that happens when you get old

What became of the Zero standing on its nose? I assume the one behind it is the currently flying example.

The 262 is with Paul Allen, yes? Are they going to re-engine it a la the Stormbird reproductions?

The barrel-shaped bird is indeed a J2M Raiden..the only one left in the world. Formerly of the Champlin collection..now with Paul Allen (I think.)

The other non-Zero Japanese bird is the only surviving Ki-84 Hayate (Allied code name "Frank.") The finest Japanese Army Air Force fighter of the war. POF actually flew it back in the early '60s. I believe it's now in a museum in Japan.

No, the J2M stayed with POF and is still there.

You are right about the Hayate.

Robbie's error is understandable, that front view of the Hayate does make it look like a Shiden-Kai.

Squinting at serials, I can see that the P-51 with the shark teeth is now POF's Spam Can, and the green P-38 missing its wings is 23 Skidoo. The Turkey with "264" on it is still with POF as well. The P-38 partially seen in the P-51A shot, marked as FA Honduras 504, became Scrap Iron IV and was written off in 1981. The P-63, I'm guessing, might now be Yanks's Fatal Fang? I can only assume that the P-40N is the one still with POF, and the silver P-38 with the funny nose is the ill-fated Scatterbrain Kid.

Thanks for the correction..the way some of these old birds change hands, it's hard to keep track of them. I'm just thrilled the Jack is still around, no matter who owns it.
