Thanks a million Bill! I know (knew) a lot of those birds, lots of great old memories! And who doesn't get a little misty-eyed whenever Carolyn put in an appearance...

Obergrafeter, in my earlier days of aviation photography I was mostly interested in fighters, bombers, Trainers and active military aircraft. Today I do regret not getting more Ls but photography was more expensive in those days for a working man (film, processing, printing, etc) now with digital I shoot almost every thing at least once. I have since learned the aircraft may not be around forever so shoot them,

Thunderchicken, co-owned by Pete Howard and David Manire, was based at the Brookshire Air Force's HQ Hangar (Mike McGlothlin's) in Brookshire.

Some time after it was sold, had a forced landing somewhere midwest (Iowa?)

That was the airplane where I got my first Texan or equivalent, ride.

Fly-ins and barbecues at the BAF HQ, were well attended and memorable.

Saludos,

Tulio
