Great photos Jack. It almost looks like the crew in the center photo is contemplating whether or not they should push the Wildcat over the side!

I suspect they're just pointing the business end of those .50 cals out to sea while they work on them.

Love seeing all the TBDs!

Cool Pix.
Minor correction though.
The F4Fs in the 2nd and 3rd pictures are F4F-4s not F4F-3s.
Note the 6 gun installation, not the 4 guns set up used on the -3.
Also you can make out the upper wing fold hinge blister on the wings in both pictures and there are no leading edge pitot tubes visible on the left wing as they would be on the -3.
