What we need is a on sight inspector to verify Gary's work. I don't believe that he has the necessary skill and experience to perform the duties of lightbulb IA. I've performed a hard target search and I believe iIve found the person with the expertise needed in this demanding field.

Plus he's got a darn sharp profile.

Is it me, or did anyone else notice that there is no “Nose Art” on any of the aforementioned light bulbs? Does that mean they were WWII era “hand-me-downs” from Navy aviation to Marine Corps aviation?

A keyboard, part of a monitor, a sheaf of papers and a cup of coffee.

That's what reading this puppy has cost me. Originally, I was gonna bust out a few lightbulb jokes of my own.

However, ti was clear that, by the time I got to the end of Gary's photo presentation with the 27 glossy 8x10 photos with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back describing each one that I have no business whatsoever trying to bring teh funnay here into this thread.

Anon, herefore I lurketh within.

So my racer buddy who was interviewed on ESPN one night while running midgets at IRP was asked what he did for a living aside from racing. With a straight face he told the interviewer that he ran a light bulb rebuilding business! The interviewer fell for it hook line and sinker!

The downside was that my buddy started receiving burned out light bulbs from fans. To their amazment, he would actually go out a purchase new ones for them and send them back as rebuilt!

Needless to say, my friend had a serious problem but was a great national champion. The interviewer got in trouble for making fun of the "professional athlete" and nearly lost his job with ESPN. 8)
