Hey AJ! The likely reason for the drop in hits is that no new material has been added. I, for one, arranged to be notified by email whenever anything is posted, so I've been to the site only 9 times since April, including today. Before that it was a daily visit. So please take that into consideration when assessing interest.

What is involved in sponsoring? Is it simply the financing? ($25/$40) Does the sponsor have responsibility for posting the remaining pix? Any other responsibilities?

Sorry I didn't make it clear, its just funding the Photobucket account. Also I believe most of the photos are posted at this time.

WOW! Thanks for the effort Armyjunk!

I worked at Republic Airport in maintenance and then as a pilot in the early to mid '80's. I mainly worked for East Coast Airways in Hangar 2, but occasionally worked part time for Nassau Flyers in Hangar 3. Both are in a lot of the pictures! I didn't realize how old those things were! They were there before the huge factory was built.........

I was there when the C5 came in to pick up the T-46A prototype. It was a sad day when Republic finally closed it's doors, and I miss the factory being there when driving by on Rt 110.

Great stuff!

Good to go for another year of Photobucket! Many thanks to Wix member, Jim Azelton. I'm sure we all appreciate his generosity, and hope that we all enjoy another year of pictures.

Good old Jim! :) Many thanks guys, this is an awesome thread.

This week I've managed to acquire some original XF-103 film material. With a bit of luck I should be able to covert it to DVD and post some of it here.
Speaking of the XF-103, would anyone have original drawings of it available in one form or another? Just curious... :)

That was in September, but there have been no pix posted since then. Are they being posted elsewhere? (e.g., "Photobucket").

Hello Hawkeye, I think we've pretty well have finished the post, we have about 4400 pics here I think. Jim was kind enough to pay for a years Photobucket account, I chipped in another one so the account is good until 11/14/2012. I believe most everyone knows I have other pics posted over here http://tinyurl.com/2bo6xbl These are not part of this Photobucket account.
I really hope everyone has enjoyed these, my buddy would have liked that.
Thanks Ryan for letting me post here................

And once again, thanks for all the time you devoted to Grumman and Republic on the WIX thread!

Armyjunk2: Most grateful for your posting these many awesome images. I just joined the forum, and have not read all 55 pages of this thread, but does this Photobucket account you speak of that contains these pictures actually exist? If so, how does one find it? I have never used Photobucket, but using any logical search word all I can find is "armyjunk1" with only five pictures.

Thanks again for posting, and thanks in advance for your answer to my question.

Batman, All the photographs are posted here, The Photobucket account is just a place to host the photos. You can see short titles if you have a PC and right click and save, doesn't work for Macs I guess.
