I am driving up to Aurora, IL tomorrow to finish out the summer tour with our remaining two SNJs. I hope to get in some quality flight time in the next 3 weeks before I bring one back to Florida. Anyone on the board in the area?
Chuck

I'll check for it on the chart and try to buzz by if I get a chance in the next few weeks. :D

Geez Vlado...Wish I had known that when I was living up there. I suffered some major withdrawals in not having a Mustang or T-6 to work on.

Hi Chuck,

What a shame. Do you know if the aircraft salvagable or a total loss? From the photos it looks like one of them might be repairable. Any photos of the other aircraft?

Thank you,

Patrick

We dont know what is salvagable until they come out of the hangar and the insurance guy has a look at them. They will be a project for someone who has the time, money, and desire.

Chuck,
I never had a chance to thank you guys for the great ride my fiance had at Geneseo two years ago. The pilot really wrung it out. She was barfing at the hotel that night! I thought I'd be in trouble, but she did enjoy the flight.

Chuck, by chance are you going to be in KISM next week? We are going to be ther for a week. I was going to try and stop by and see you all. If not, I will look for you in Midland.

Cheers,

Lynn

Hi Chuck,

My I suggest that if the planes are not rebuildable but could be fix up to be a good Static, then maybe a Smaller Musuem without the funds could benifet.

Just a thought

Cheers The Col.

you forgot to mention that the rebuilt static might be able to be swapped for a rebuildable airframe. just a thought as I do know there's a firefly out there made from a swap sort of along those lines.

amazing what happens when you approach things the correct way. I believe the non airworthy bits look quite good assembled and up on the pole the airworthy bits came from.

Hi Chuck,

If there is anything useable I would hate to see it on a static. Do you have additional pics showing the condition on the two Sixes? I have a feeling that with enough money they can be saved.

Just my $.02.
