These were taken around May 1980 when my dad was stationed at Kadena AFB, Okinawa

These 3 are pre PC pictures. I hope I don't offend anyone with them. If so my apologies in advance.

The pin-up in the windscreen is neat, a friend that intercepted Russian "Bears" in the N.E. said that the Russians would do the same thing when they were intercepted.

That is cool. My father used to tell me the Bear crews would hold up coke and pepsi cans on the rare occasion they intercepted a Tu-95 (not a common occurance since my father flew in a EA-3 Skywarrior!)

Heard all sorts of stories from my Dad about things like that. Was cleaning out an old desk here at the house when I came across these. I have the whole roll of film, but liked these 5 the most. Aircrews you've got to love them.

A friend of mine who flew F-106's said that when some of the guys in his squadron would approach a Bear to escort them, they'd put all of the props out of sync if the jets got to close. He said that they described the noise as being horrendous and (excuse the pun) unbearable. They could only imagine what the crew inside the Bear was going through.

Don't know how true it is, but it sounded feasible to me.

Great pics, not offensive in the least.
