I totally forgot about that aircraft. Does anyone know if that aircraft was built to original blueprints or specifications or is it a "looks like" type of replica?

John used original drawings, sourced from Le Bourget and a friend of the designer IIRC

I would lose my mind if Jerry got this... I would dearly love to see more French aircraft represented, and you're right, this strikes me as the sort of thing that he might really find interesting.

Stephan Willkinson reported on History.net Sept. 2012, that it flew "a trio of cautious liftoff/re-land hops on its 5000' runway". Back then I looked for later announcements/videos of it flying but didn't find any. Anyone know any more?

I gather from the questions here, that the flights on the aircraft have been extremely limited. Why is that? Are there any concerns on the airworthiness of the aircraft, or is the owner concerned about the risk of flying the aircraft due to its rarity?

I had always thought it was a regular flyer, but I guess I was wrong.

Have any flights been conducted with the gear retracted?

It has flown a number of times around its home base but insurance is the main sticking point.

Ah, thanks for the info Dave. That's good to hear! What a lovely airplane and one I would really like to see fly in person. I hope somebody buys it and is able to give it a great home where it can be displayed and shown to the public.

I agree with previous sentiments here. That aircraft has Yagen written all over it.

Really, that aircraft belongs back in France. Hopefully one of the big power warbird people buy it and ship it over there.

Is this actually rare? One of one, but scratch-built, or is it claimed to be a survivor?

Never heard it referred to as anything other than a replica and I don't think its lack of flight time has anything to do with it being rare in historical terms. Of course I don't have any inside information, just what I've read about the aircraft here and there over the years.
