Believed to be the last surviving crewmemeber of the B-50 "Lucky Lady II" non-stop flight around the world in 1949, died at his home in Alvarado, Texas on Sunday, July 18, 2010. He was 86 years old. WWII infantry vet with two Purple Hearts and a Combat Infantry Badge. He left the service after WWII but rejoined the Air Force two years later. He retired from the Air Force in 1960.
