Saw in the news this morning that Ed McMahon passed and in the clip they mentioned that he was a USMC Fighter Pilot, though better known for his years on the tonight show. Trained up for single engined carrier ops in the Corsair, he ended up as a training officer at the Green Cove Springs, FL, training facility.
