My condolences to Chris and his family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bob, but it seemed he died doing what he loved and had a passion for.

I'm so sad...

If not mistaken, that was the P-40 that was for sale at Oshkosh two years ago. I heard the story from the guy who was selling it. It was a gas station bird that was purchased once for $500 (or so) and the guy who bought it just climbed in a flew it away. I think he was the one to take it to his gas station. You guys will certainly know more about this plane. Didn't it suffer a gear failure once as well?
This stuff just makes me feel so bad for the family and our fraternity. Great guy, great plane lost.

Each summer you could always enjoy seeing Bob and Chris at just about every show in the northeast.
Terrible news. Condolences to the Baranaskas Family.

My wife and I would also like to express or condolences to the family. We met both Bob and Chris briefly last year at the Martinsburg, WV airshow. Super guys. Bob will be missed.

Dang
I met Bob and Chris at Thunder a couple of years ago as well. Just the nicest people you would ever meet. Answered all of my mundane questions and then some. Both very fine people. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Wow! This is very sad news. It was only a few weeks ago when Terry Rush escaped the fire in the TBM and now Bob is gone. He and his son Chris were a regular at shows in the North East and were always very professional.
Bernadette and I would like Chris and his family to know they are in our thoughts and prayers.

What a shame. My condolences go out to his family.
His Mustang and Warhawk were regulars in this area and I always enjoyed seeing them.
