hi everyone

first time post from myself after a long time lurking on the site

real name is Clive, married with 3 young kids. based in the north west of the uk. met my wife in the usa some 22 years ago whilst back packing one summer and just got back from our latest holiday to florida. no fantasy of flight this time round..covered that 2 years ago and non starter on my wifes planner this time.

outside of family and work my passion has always been military history since the first time i received an airfix kit at 5 years old...pretty sure that was a spitfire from my grandad who was an RAF anti aircraft gunner in the war (not aircrew).

i regularly inflict my personal love of all things ww2 on the family with various trips to airshows and plane museums wherever we go and whatever country we go to. looks like my youngest 5 year old lad has inherited my passion too so at least i have 1 willing visitor to future airshows.

favourite plane at airshows is the lancaster and looking forward to the day when we have "just jane" flying the uk skies again

plane would most like to see flying is the mossie and just behind that the p38 which i have not yet managed to see. got static photos from various usa museums including camarillo wing of the CAF and planes of fame in chino from a few years back but no more as yet..one day..one day

favourite if a jet is involved...the vulcan, which is purely majestic to witness flying the uk skies..in my opinion of course

great website, love reading about the people here and their passion for aircraft and most importantly the respect shown to veterans past and present

thats enough from me...have a good day all
