New here ,Hi From Brisbane Australia.

my name is Ron Bunting and initially I was drawn here by the thread on the great lakes aircraft carriers. I then had to look at the List of New Zealand WW2 fighter pilots. One name stuck out immediately http://aarc.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/enbunting.html. I know he isn't a relative but it is the first time I have seen his name. Our branch of the bunting family tree are direct decendents of the Rev Jabez bunting ,My GG Grandfather.
Another Bunting was the Jamaican Vincent Bunting, http://www.blackpresence.co.uk/vincent-bunting-wwii-fighter-pilot/. How many people knew that there was Squadron of Black Spitfire Pilots? Not too many I suspect. Again No relation. Their branch has been in the carribean for several hundred years .
I did notice one rather Glaring mistake and one that cannot go without mention. In the "T" section ,no mention is made of Flying officer Trigg VC ,DFC . yes VC ,I dont how he was missed . :(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Allan_Trigg
perhaps his name could be added to the list?
I knew his younger brother many years ago and in the town where we lived is a monument to Lloyd.
Kind Regards,Ron Bunting.
