Hello from Chris Berman

Chris Berman, no, not the sports guy. I am a plane nut with a masters in military history from Norwich University. My master's thesis was on women combat pilots of the USSR in WW 2 with particular attention to the 588th night bombing regiment, flying PO-2s. The thesis was about these women and what had made them extrodinary night bombing pilots with some having compleated over 800 combat missions. I'm also a published science fiction author and try to fit my love of aviation and old planes into my writing. By the way, I live in Florida but used to be up in the North East, close enough to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome to visit it a few times a year. I have a new novel called "Ace of Aces" due out this month that places five WW 2 aces into a future war, some 340 years after their own time. If anyone is intrested, you can read the first 46 pages on my publisher's web site. It is http://www.leopublishing.net/ourbooks.htm

I'll be posting some information on Florida air shows (Drat, they cancelled the one at the Flagler Airport for 2013 but are reviving another further south.) Anyway, stay in touch. I'm really happy to have found this site.
