I can't believe I didn't find this forum before. I'm sure having fun reading today.
I'm another warbird fan. My father was in the 12th Troop Carrier Squadron (C-47s) in WWII, during the invasions of North Africa and Sicily. My biggest passion is B-17s. My bucket-list goal is to fly in as many airworthy survivors as I can. I've been up in the late, lamented Liberty Belle, and Aluminum Overcast. Next up will be Nine O' Nine in the spring, and hopefully the movie Memphis Belle sometime next year.
I've also flowin in the Collings Foundation's B-24, Witchcraft. I'm a fan of Kermit Weeks' museum in Florida and visit every chance I can (usually once a year). I'm a bit of an addict, but I'm sure you guys are all familiar with the symptoms....
